Ben Scott is the policy adviser for innovation at the U.S. State Department, where he works at the intersection of technology and foreign policy. His portfolio includes Internet freedom, technology and development, and new media strategies to promote 21st-century statecraft. Before joining the State Department, he led the Washington office for Free Press, the largest U.S. nonprofit that deals exclusively with media and communications policy, for six years.

One of the most widely recognized and influential strategists in American politics, Joe Trippi has been heralded on the cover of The New Republic as the man who “reinvented campaigning” and by The Atlantic as the “political innovator of the decade.” Known for his technology and media savvy, Trippi’s work in politics has spanned more than four decades, five presidential campaigns, and numerous successful state and national elections.
